Manhunt on for shooter of Quezon City couple

MANILA, Philippines — Police have launched a manhunt for a man who shot a couple in Quezon City.

Paolo Yanguas, of Barangay Tandang Sora, is facing complaints for murder and frustrated murder over the shooting of Roselle Navalta, 39, and her partner Richard Casuga, 41, on April 20.

Armed with a gun of unknown caliber, police said Yanguas broke into the house of the victims and fired at the couple multiple times.

The victims were brought to the Quezon City General Hospital for treatment, but Navalta died on Monday.

Casuga was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday. He has positively identified Yanguas as their assailant.

Police said they have yet to determine the suspect’s motive.
