DOLE warns vs fake emergency job hiring

Mayen Jaymalin - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has warned the public against unauthorized hiring under its emergency employment program.

DOLE-National Capital Region (NCR) noted that fake hiring under the TUPAD or Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced and Disadvantaged Workers program is circulating online.

Jobseekers are asked to apply for the program and are offered P800 a day.

“Please report directly to DOLE-NCR any information on individuals or groups who are illegally conducting these activities,” the agency said.

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration also advised the public to be wary of the fake website owwamember.com, which gives details concerning the OWWA’s different programs and services.

OWWA stressed that it has only one website, which is owwa.gov.ph.
