Man caught selling abortion pills

MANILA, Philippines — A man accused of selling abortion pills online was arrested in Binondo, Manila on Monday.

Enrique Jose Bulda Jr., 29, was apprehended by operatives of the police Anti-Cybercrime Group during an entrapment operation in a mall along Soler street at around 1:30 p.m., the ACG said in a report.

The ACG said Bulda was monitored selling misoprostol on Facebook Marketplace.

A police officer who posed as a buyer negotiated with Bulda, who goes by the name of Doc Cherry White on Facebook, for an abortion pill in exchange for P3,500.

The suspect is being held on charges of violating Republic Act 3720 or the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act in relation to RA 10175, the Cybercrime Prevention Act.
