DOH warns vs fake Vergeire social media account

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) warned the public yesterday against fake social media accounts using the name and photos of its officer-in-charge (OIC), Maria Rosario Vergeire.

“The DOH would like to clarify that OIC Vergeire does not own any of these accounts,” the agency said in an advisory.

“Further, any statements, comments, and transactions made by these accounts are not from the OIC,” the DOH added.

The public should stay vigilant and source information only from legitimate sources and platforms, the DOH said.
