Go aids Cavite fire victims
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go led a relief operation for fire victims in Cavite City on Wednesday.
Kaya ingat po tayo,” he said.
Go and his team distributed grocery packs, vitamins, face masks, snacks and shirts to 767 fire victims at the Ladislao Diwa Elementary School.
The senator also gave away bicycles, mobile phones, shoes, bags, watches and balls for basketball and volleyball to select recipients.
The office of Sen. Cynthia Villar also extended assistance to fire victims.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development granted financial assistance while the National Housing Authority assessed the needs of fire victims who may qualify for housing assistance.
The Department of Trade and Industry conducted an on-site assessment for possible livelihood assistance to qualified recipients.
