MANILA, Philippines — Cebu-based businessman and alleged drug lord Peter Lim has left the country, according to Interior Secretary Eduardo Año.

Año said it is the latest information they have received on Lim, one of the alleged suppliers of another drug trafficker, Kerwin Espinosa.

“Yung isa pang hinahanap natin na si Peter Lim nawawala na rin at tingin natin nakalabas na ng country,” Año said in an interview over Teleradyo earlier this week.

Lim and his brother were reportedly campaign supporters of President Duterte in 2016. Lim was listed in the order of battle of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency. He was indicted by the Department of Justice on charges of conspiracy to commit illegal drug trading.

Another person with suspected links to the illegal drug trade, ex-Iloilo City mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, has also left the country, according to Año.

“Ito ay sumibat na (He has fled) outside of the country,” Año said.
