2 cops victimized by ‘basag kotse’ gang

MANILA, Philippines — Two police officers lost their firearms to suspected members of a “Basag Kotse” gang in Calamba City, Laguna on Friday.

S/Sgt. Edmon Munos lost his 9mm handgun and .45-caliber pistol while S/Sgt. Mark Anthony Manrique’s magazines for assorted firearms and identification cards were missing.

The police officers were about to board their vehicle in the parking lot of a restaurant in Barangay Batino at around 11:30 a.m when they noticed that the passenger window had been destroyed.

The police officers requested a copy of footage of surveillance cameras at the scene to identify the suspects.
