MANILA, Philippines - The relatives of a seaman who went missing last November are worried that he may already be dead, a victim of summary execution.
Marco Zeus Saquibal, 26, of San Jose, Antique, was last seen alive by his landlord in his boarding house on V. Mapa street in Sta. Mesa on the night of Nov. 20, 2016.
Saquibal’s mother said two policemen and a woman arrived at the boarding house that night and all of them left one after the other.
When the landlord checked the room, he found that it was disarrayed but Saquibal’s documents were intact.
After checking with the barangay, the family learned that Saquibal was arrested for illegal drugs prior to his disappearance.
The mother said her son even asked her for P5,000 for his training.
She said her son never contacted them or his girlfriend and even his Facebook account is unchanged.
Saquibal’s relatives are asking the public to call or text the numbers 0906-4702021, 0926-4014358, 09351366023, or 09360318564 for any information on him.
