MANILA, Philippines – A 2.6-magnitude earthquake shook Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The epicenter of the tremor, which occurred at around 8:22 a.m., was located at 14 kilometers northwest of Puerto Galera. It was felt at Intensity 2.
Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic in origin.
