Law creates new Nueva Ecija court

MANILA, Philippines – President Aquino has signed a law creating another regional trial court (RTC) in Nueva Ecija.

Republic Act 10739, which the President signed on Dec. 29, created the RTC branch in the Science City of Muñoz.

“The chief justice… in coordination with the secretary of the Department of Justice shall immediately include in the court’s program the operationalization of the additional branch of the RTC… the funding of which shall be included in the Annual General Appropriations Act,” the law stated.

Aquino earlier signed eight laws creating nine additional  RTC and metropolitan trial court branches in Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Pampanga, Baguio, Cavite, Negros Oriental, Misamis Oriental and Quezon City.
