MMDA revokes accreditation of 2 towing firms

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Monday revoked the accreditation of two towing companies and suspended four others for illegal towing activities.
 
MMDA Chair Francis Tolentino revoked the accreditation of Mac and Paul Towing & Trucking Services and MCT Towing Services. 
 
Meanwhile, JARZ Towing Services was slapped with a 30-day suspension for violation of towing guidelines and various complaints, Tolentino said. 
 
"The operations of these accredited towing companies are being closely monitored by our agency to ensure that the public is protected from any kind of abuse," Tolentino said.
 
Another tow truck company, ARD Towing Services, is also suspended for 15 days for illegal towing, harassment and threat.
 
Towing firm  Metal Gear Towing Services was also suspended for 10 days while Fighter Towing Services got a five-day suspension for illegal towing and negligence.
