CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – A former Catholic priest was shot dead in Maramag, Bukidnon on Thursday morning.
Two men on a motorcycle fired at Teresto Labastilla in front of the Maramag Central School in Barangay North Poblacion.
Labastilla died from gunshots to the face, neck, head and chest.
Police are still investigating the motive for the killing.
Labastilla ran but lost for mayor of Lantapan town in the 2013 elections.
