BACOLOD City, Philippines – Three persons were killed in a shooting that marred a pre-nuptial celebration in Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental shortly after midnight Friday.
Case investigator Police Officer 3 July Padernal identified the fatalities as farmers Geovannie Narbebe, 38, and Joefel Conserman, 28, and Kim Ragasajo, 17, who was believed to have been hit by a stray bullet.
Reports said Narbebe died from several gunshot wounds, while Conserman had hack injuries in the face and head, aside from bullet wounds. Ragasajo suffered a gunshot wound in the head.
Padernal said the incident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. at the house of Federico Mahinay, where a pre-nuptial celebration was being held.
Police recovered bullet shells for a 9mm pistol and two bullets for a caliber .45 pistol.
Authorities were having difficulty investigating, as no one wanted to speak on how or who started the shooting.
Padernal said Conserman and Narbebe had grudges against each other.
