MANILA, Philippines - Government transportation officials are set to open tomorrow early morning the South station in Muntinlupa City to accommodate 236 provincial buses coming from Southern Luzon and Bicol.
In an advisory, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board said representatives from the Department of Transportation and Communications, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, and city government of Muntinlupa will be at the soft launch around 5 a.m.in Alabang.
During the launch of the bus terminal, all affected vehicles from the South Luzon Expressway should exit at Filinvest, the LTFRB advisory said.
"From SLEX, all provincial buses will exit Filinvest toll then proceed to South station. From south station on their way to their provincial station, the buses will enter the SLEX toll under the Alabang viaduct. If there will be any changes, we will make the announcement," the LTFRB added.
The LTFRB said that once Muntinlupa adjusts to the inflow of 236 buses, it will then determine the viability of taking the 281 provincial buses terminating in "Market Market" in Taguig City "not unless another terminal will be used for these affected buses."
