MANILA, Philippines - A 40-year-old man was shot dead inside a boarding house in Lower Bicutan in Taguig City, late Monday afternoon.
Senior Superintendent Arthur Felix Asis, Taguig City Police chief, identified the victim as Nazer Dilna, a boarder of the house located at 4 A. Reyes Street, Barangay Lower Bicutan. Asis said Dilna is a long-time resident of Caloocan City.
Police said Dilna was about to enter the house at about 5:40 p.m. when the still-unidentified gunman appeared and shot him at close range. Dilna died on the spot.
Police said Rosmund Roncales, 37, caretaker of a computer rental shop beside the boarding house was injured by a stray bullet.
Investigators are still determining the motive for the shooting as they also try to identify the shooter.
