MANILA, Philippines - One of the four alleged gunmen who shot and wounded two teenagers, including the grandson of actor and known impersonator Willie Nepomuceno, is now in the custody of the Marikina City police.
Reports said that Mark Bersilla, 30, will undergo inquest proceedings today, January 10 before the Prosecutors Office for grave threats and frustrated murder.
Bersilla was reportedly one of the gunmen who shot and wounded 16-year-old Sean Gabriel Nepomunceno and another Thursday dawn at an eatery on Bayan-bayanan Avenue, Marikina Heights.
Three other suspects in the shooting remain at large.
Meanwhile, in a radio interview, Willie Wilson Jr., father of Sean Gabriel, said his son is now in stable condition after being operated on at the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center for three gunshot wounds on different parts of his body.
He said one of the bullets hit his son's stomach and liver while the other pierced through the arm.
He said he has yet to get the specific details on the incident.
Earlier, Willie Nepomuceno, quoting witnesses, said Sean Gabriel and three of his friends were just about to eat breakfast after playing computer games at an Internet shop when a car stopped in front of the eatery.
A gun-wielding man alighted from the vehicle and fired a warning shot in the air. Three others alighted from the same car and approached Sean Gabriel's group, Nepomuceno said.
One of the gunmen even pistol whipped Sean Gabriel's friends, prompting the teenage boys scamper as the suspects started shooting at them.
Another teenage boy was also hit during the shooting spree, Nepomuceno said.
