ILOCOS SUR, Philippines - – A 58-year-old village councilman in Sta. Maria town this province was shot dead with a M-16 Armalite rifle while talking to his constituents last Sunday, police said.
Superintendent Marlo Castillo, provincial police spokesman, said a masked gunman pumped three bullets into the body of Barangay Maynganay Sur councilman Remigio Atendido.
