LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – A group of robbers barged into a house owned by a copra trader and hogtied all the members of the household before fleeing with P50,000 in cash and other valuables in this city on Sunday.
The robbers broke into the house of Antonio Dy, 63, in Barangay Arimbay at 10 a.m., according to Superintendent Robert Morico, head of the city police.
The robbers, who arrived in two sport utility vehicles, hogtied Dy’s wife Delia, son Arvin and their six helpers.
Morico said the robbers, said to number around 15, pretended to deliver water in order to gain entry into Dy’s compound.
