American jailed for trespassing

ZAMBOANGA CITY , Philippines  â€“ An American landed in jail in Zamboanga del Norte for trespassing and public scandal, police reported yesterday.

Jackie Leo Davis, 54, of Barangay Babay, Liloy town, was arrested based on a complaint filed by Rizalito Pasunting Silva, 52, for unjust vexation and qualified trespassing.

Davis, who was allegedly drunk, entered Silva’s home and urinated on a cabinet on Monday, according to Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, spokesman for police regional office 9.

Silva said Davis showed his genitals to his daughter Marife, 17, who was prompted to run towards her room. The suspect allegedly followed the girl.

Responding policemen arrested Davis and brought him to the police station.

Huesca said the complainant filed separate cases against Davis for unjust vexation and qualified trespass to dwelling.

The judge recommended a total bail of P22,000 for Davis' release. But he failed to post , prompting the court to commit him to the Liloy reformatory center.

Police could not confirm if the United States embassy in Manila has been informed about Davis’ arrest.
