Drug pusher hurt in Masbate buy bust
MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency shot and wounded a suspected pusher during a sting operation in Masbate province, the PDEA said on Thursday.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspect as Jerome Inventor, 23, of Barangay Poblacion, Aroroy town.
Cacdac said that according to the report from the PDEA Regional Office 5, its operatives had already surrounded Inventor after selling shabu to a poseur buyer when the suspect pulled out his .22 revolver and attempted to shoot at the agent.
The PDEA operatives were forced to shoot the suspect.
The operation was conducted last August 3 in Barangay Poblacion.
Inventor was brought to the nearest health center for immediate treatment.
Inventor's accomplice, Lablab Belo, was able to elude arrest.
Seized from the suspect were assorted drug paraphernalia, two P100 bills used as marked money and the .22 revolver with six pieces of live ammunition.P100 bills buy-bust money and a revolver with six pieces of live ammunition.
