P’sinan to receive award from BSP

LINGAYEN , Philippines   â€“ Pangasinan Gov. Amado Espino Jr. starts his third term with the province set to be receive another national award as the Most Outstanding Local Government Unit in the implementation of the Credit Support Fund (CSF).

Provincial officials led by Espino will be conferred the award by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on July 16 at the BSP Assembly Hall in Manila.

Provincial administrator Rafael Baraan announced the award in Monday’s flag-raising ceremony, saying, “The ultimate measure of success in all our undertakings is we are able to translate the provincial vision of Pangasinan as a best place to invest, work, live and raise a family at the household level.”

“For every household in Pangasinan, every household head is able to support his family which is the intention of the CSF,” he said.

The CSF, according to Baraan, aims to enable household heads to have viable livelihood means to support their families.

In his inaugural address, Espino said Pangasinan has slowly but steadily moved forward to become a “consistent top performer in local governance.” 

BSP governor and Monetary Board chairman Amando Tetangco Jr. will lead the awarding of trophies to the awardees, along with the chairman of the board of judges, Armando Suratos.
