DAVAO CITY, Philippines – A municipal coordinator of the Anakpawis party-list group was shot dead in Mawab, Compostela Valley last weekend.
Human rights group Karapatan said the victim, Eddie Cañon, 43, sustained 13 bullet wounds in various parts of the body.
Karapatan alleged that before Cañon was killed, he was harassed by soldiers belonging to the Army’s 66th Infantry Battalion.
