MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has launched a search for unidentified men armed with M-16 rifles who recently fired shots at a fishing boat in Lingayen Gulf in Pangasinan.
Commandant Armand Balilo, PCG spokesman, yesterday said their PCG station in Sual, Pangasinan has received a report that armed men fired shots at the direction of the 11.15-gross ton fishing boat F/B St. Peter.
The ship’s crewmen are safe, the PCG said, adding that it has alerted all its local detachments to help locate and identify the armed men.
