DINGRAS, Ilocos Norte – A banana plant here bore a fruit that has grown so big it could qualify for inclusion in the Guinness World Records.
In a radio interview, Reymando Maneja, a resident of Barangay Sulquiano and owner of the plant, said the banana has grown longer than the average height of an adult Filipino.
Sulquiano said that the “giant” banana is three months old.
Maneja’s plant has drawn many curious visitors.
