Kidnap victim's remains found

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Police yesterday confirmed that the remains of a 60-year-old grandmother, who was seized along with her grandson in Pagadian City last Oct. 30, were found in Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Zamboanga del Sur.

The search for the remains of kidnap victim Nenia Gomonit was prompted by reports that she had been dead for about a week.

The kidnappers earlier had threatened to kill Gomonit and her grandson, who is still being held captive, if a P30-million ransom would not be paid by the end of November.
