5 injured as bus hits dump truck on NLEX

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Philippines  – Five people, including a one-year-old boy, were hurt when a Philtranco bus they were riding skidded and hit a dump truck during a freak thunderstorm along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in San Simon town yesterday afternoon.

Daniel Salita, supervisor of the NLEX traffic monitoring office, said the Philtranco bus, which had 24 passengers, was en route to this freeport when it met the accident some 500 meters from the San Simon exit.
