110 recruits augment Quezon police force

Lucena City, Philippines – Approximately 110 new policemen will be added to the Quezon Provincial Police Office as part of the Integration Transformation Program of the Philippine National Police and augment the security operation in the province for the coming State of the Nation Address, Regional Director IV-A Perfecto Palad said during the inauguration of the PNP building in Sampaloc, Quezon yesterday.

Palad said in his address that he will assign new police officers who will help improve the peace and order situation in Calabarzon, particularly the province of Quezon.

Palad said that because of the upcoming SONA, they are all prepared and in alert status to ensure that any terroristic activities are preempted during the SONA.

He said the Integration Transformation Program of the Nine Point-Agenda of PNP chief Director General Jesus Versoza which included the construction of the PNP’s new building office is in order to improve police services. He said aside from infrastructure development, individual attitude of the police should be reinvigorated.

Palad also said that policemen should render exemplary services, give priority to the safety of common people and not just only for prominent ones. He advised his men to avoid political bias in connection with the forthcoming 2010 elections. – Michelle Zoleta
