MANILA, Philippines – Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines – Police have released an artist’s sketch of the gunman in the May 10 killing of a resort owner in Barangay Sto. Niño here.
Superintendent Roger James Brillantes, Puerto Galera police chief, said witnesses described the man who shot businessman Carmelo Garcia, 47, owner of Sandbar Resort, as having medium build and fair complexion, about 5’5” to 5’6” tall, and wearing a baseball cap, white polo shirt and blue jeans.
Police said the gunman, along with a companion, posed as guests and ordered two bottles of beer in the resort’s restaurant at around 7:20 p.m.
A few minutes later, the gunman approached Garcia, who was at the bar counter, and shot him several times with a caliber .45 pistol. – Arnell Ozaeta, Juancho Mahusay
