ILAGAN, Isabela, Philippines – Two more Cagayan Valley towns have been placed under a state of calamity as a result of last week’s onslaught of typhoon Emong, which left at least eight people dead and nearly P500 million in crop losses and infrastructure damage in the region.
The two towns are San Mateo in this province and Ambaguio in neighboring Nueva Vizcaya. Earlier, Solano and Bagabag towns were placed, too, under a state of calamity. – Charlie Lagasca
