CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – Eight unidentified armed men robbed a gasoline station and carted away undetermined amount of cash, including the employees’ valuables and personal belongings in a 15-minute robbery in Barangay San Jose, Rosario, Batangas Saturday, police said.
Reports reaching Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, Calabarzon police director, said the Saddam Shell gas station owned by Jose Harold and his partner Nelson Hernandez was robbed by unidentified men believed to be members of a robbery gang operating in Batangas. One of the robbers at gunpoint disarmed the security guard and hogtied one of the gasoline’s staff identified as Henry Valencia and two unidentified employees before they entered the gasoline station’s office.
Reports said three of the suspected robbers who acted as lookouts were on board a motorcycle and immediately disappeared when their cohorts fled with their loots toward Barangay San Jose highway.
Police are now investigating the robbery incident. – Ed amoroso
