Basilan grenade blast suspect falls

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – A man arrested for grave threats last week turned out to be a suspect in the grenade explosion in a pre-Christmas street party that wounded about a dozen revelers in Isabela City, Basilan last year, a police official said.

Superintendent Jose Bayani Gucela, spokesman of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations in Western Mindanao, said a witness positively identified Rocky Lahaman, 19, as one of the grenade throwers. – Roel Pareño
