CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Several senior police officers and members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 4A has expressed disappointment over the incoming realignment of personnel to give way to a batch of new officials and personnel who was reportedly brought along by the newly installed regional director.
Some 38 members of the CIDG 4, including senior police officers are expected to be relieved from their posts within this month, according to the report.
Several investigators, mostly handling sensational cases and intelligence agents and operatives, are expected to be transfered to various provinces outside the region.
“This is the first time in the history of the CIDG4 that the newly installed director brings his entire men to his new assignment,” a police officer who requested not to be named said.
“We have no choice but to download or reassign our staff to accommodate the 24 men,” the police officer said.
Last Tuesday, Senior Superintendent Mark Edison Belarma, CIDG4 chief, was relieved from his post and was replaced by Senior Superintendent Christopher Laxa, former deputy chief for intelligence. Two of Laxa’s men were already assigned as provincial officers in Batangas and Cavite. – Ed Amoroso
