Marasigan and Panaligan, both of the Lakas-CMD, have been proclaimed along with congressional winners Rodolfo Valencia (LP) in the first district, and re-electionist Rep. Alfonso Umali Jr. (LP) in the second district.
Meanwhile, opposition standard bearer Fernando Poe Jr. beat President Arroyo in the province 124,258 votes versus 81,691.
Sen. Panfilo Lacson placed third with 26,188 votes, followed by televangelist Eddie Villanueva with 21,987 and former Sen. Raul Roco with 9,075.
In the vice presidential race, Mindoreños voted for Sen. Noli de Castro (171,829 votes) over Sen. Loren Legarda (84,666).
Proclaimed winners in the provincial board race were the following: first district Ma. Estela Aceron, Ireneo Apasan, Luis Castillet, Romeo Infantado and Abraham Abas; second district Ramil Dimapilis, Claro Recto, Susan Cobrado, Ernesto Liwanag and Cora Agarap.
In the first district, the mayors-elect are Carling Brucal (Calapan City), Aristeo Atienza (Puerto Galera), Apollo Feraren (San Teodoro), Graciano de la Chica (Baco), Bert Mendoza (Naujan), Alfredo Ortega (Victoria), Ma. Fe Brondial (Socorro) and Alex Aranas (Pola).
In the second district, the mayors-elect are Aristeo Baldos (Pinamalayan), Romeo Alvarez (Gloria), Thomas Soller (Bansud), Alex Enriquez (Bongabong), Jesus Dimapilis (Roxas), Celestino Papasin (Mansalay) and Ernito Villas (Bulalacao).
