Cauayan unveils 125-meter long cassava roll

CAUAYAN CITY This Isabela city marked its third cityhood anniversary celebration this week by whipping up what it hoped could be the worlds longest cassava roll.
During the Gawagaway-an Festival, the city unveiled a 125-meter long cassava roll made up of 50 kilos of ground cassava, 15 kilos of ground peanuts, 30 kilos of sugar, 25 kilos of buko and 25 kilos of cheese.
Yolly Alvendia, president of the Isabela Green Ladies Organization-Cauayan chapter, said 130 people prepared the giant cassava roll and at least 2,500 people partook of it.
