                    [Summary] => CAUAYAN CITY — This Isabela city marked its third cityhood anniversary celebration this week by whipping up what it hoped could be the world’s longest cassava roll.


During the Gawagaway-an Festival, the city unveiled a 125-meter long cassava roll made up of 50 kilos of ground cassava, 15 kilos of ground peanuts, 30 kilos of sugar, 25 kilos of buko and 25 kilos of cheese.


Yolly Alvendia, president of the Isabela Green Ladies Organization-Cauayan chapter, said 130 people prepared the giant cassava roll and at least 2,500 people partook of it.

                    [Summary] => CAUAYAN City, Isabela — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has ordered the opening of a radio station here which local officials shut down last Feb. 17 for failing to comply with requirements for a mayor’s permit. 


The city government, however, has defied the Comelec directive, insisting that Bombo Radyo dzNC cannot operate without the required mayor’s permit.
