Religious sect’s auditor shot

BUTUAN CITY — An auditor of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church was shot and wounded by motorcycle-riding men in front of his residence here Friday night, police said.

The victim, Russ Alfeche Dawis, 39, was hit in the right chest.

Investigators said Dawis was standing in front of his house on 4th street in Guingona Subdivision when he was fired upon.

Witnesses described the gunwielder as five feet, five inches tall, slim and fair-complexioned.— Ben Serrano
