Reds warn Bulacan mayor on Angat raid

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) has warned a Bulacan town mayor to refrain from taking any punitive action on his constituents for the Sept. 26 attack of Maoist guerrillas on a quarry site along the Angat River, where millions of pesos worth of heavy equipment was destroyed.

In a statement, the CPP maintained that communist guerrilla raids which destroy privately-owned property, such as the NPA’s assault on the Angat quarry, were "not acts of terrorism."
