Alberto Romulo said the President has thus asked her search committee to resume the screening for the potential replacement of Eufemio Domingo who resigned as chairman of the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission (PAGC).
Romulo said PAGC Commissioner Cesar Buenaflor will be the acting chairman of the three-man body until a new head is appointed.
Romulo said Dick Romulo declined to head the PAGC because, he said, he is already actively helping the Arroyo administrations anti-graft campaign as a member, representing the private sector, of the Good Governance Council.
"We are still looking for possible candidates, perhaps a retired justice. We are checking who are available," Romulo said.
"At any rate, he (Dick Romulo) said we can find good ones to head the PAGC," he added. Marichu Villanueva
