MANILA, Philippines — Lukas Graham vocalist Lukas Forchhammer and Filipino singer-songwriter Juan Karlos Labajo wowed the audience when they performed the latter's record-breaking song "Ere" at the Danish pop-band's concert last Sunday, October 22.

Forchhammer earlier challenged JK to perform with their band at their concert in the Philippines. Labajo made history with his latest single, "Ere," which is the first Filipino song to enter Spotify's global chart last week.

Lukas introduced JK in the middle of his "When You Love Someone" performance and the two singers sang a duet.

JK teased fans with his statement, "It feels so good to be finally here in the Philippines!"

"Ganito 'yung mangyayari kasi, first time namin mag-meet. So ang mangyayari kakantahan natin si Lukas Graham," he continued. "Ipapakita natin sa kanila kung gaano kagaling ang mga Pinoy."

The Danish vocalist said he just learned the song that day.

"I just learned the song today so help me out," Lukas said. He added that he is "slowly" learning Filipino.

Presented by Midas Promotions and KDR Music House, the concert was opened by Irish-Filipino pop singer ANDREAH. She performed her original songs "Best Friend," "So Far Away," "Let Me Go Easy" and did a cover of Ed Sheeran's "Perfect."

Lukas complemented the appreciative crowd that went to his first concert in the country.

"Cheers ladies and gentlemen! And thank you for coming to my very first concert in the Philippines, not the last one I promise you that," he said.

The Danish singer amazed his fans with his vocals, performing his hit songs "Mama Said," "When You Love Someone," and "7 years."

Apart from the Philippines, the group has stops in Taiwan and South Korea. — Videos, video editing by Anjilica Andaya
