MANILA, Philippines - At least 30 houses were destroyed when a fire hit a residential area in Barangay 65, Pasay City Thursday night.
The blaze broke out just before 10 p.m. and was put under control two hours later, Senior Fire Officer 4 Bernardo Bermejo said.
He said firefighters were able to respond immediately because the fire station was near the scene of the blaze.
Arson investigators have yet to determine what caused the fire.
