MANILA, Philippines - A fire destroyed at least four houses in Caloocan City yesterday afternoon.
The blaze started near the intersection of Pla-pla and Langaray streets at around 1:40 p.m., Senior Fire Officer 1 Benny Tudla said.
“Some residents said there was a loud explosion before the incident that may have been caused by a leaking liquefied petroleum gas tank, but there are others who claimed that they saw children playing with matches before the explosion,” Tudla said.
However, he added that they will not come up with an official statement until the investigation is completed.
No one was hurt in the fire, which reached second alarm before it was put under control less than 30 minutes after it started.
