MANILA, Philippines - Two men believed to be victims of summary execution were discovered in Novaliches, Quezon City yesterday morning.
The first man, found naked with multiple stab wounds in his chest, was discovered by a barangay public safety officer in Barangay Pasong Putik just before 7 a.m., said investigator Police Officer 2 Julius Raz of the Quezon City Police District.
Raz said the barangay officer found the body when he received a call from a concerned citizen.
The victim, described to be 35 to 40 years old and 5’5†in height, bore tattoos on different parts of his body. A piece of paper bearing the words “bakla (gay) killer†was found on the garbage bag containing the body.
Meanwhile, the body of another man was found in front of the Richland Subdivision along Sauyo Road in Barangay Sauyo, also in Novaliches, at around 10:50 a.m.
Case investigator PO2 George Caculba said the man was approximately 45 to 50 years old, about 5’5†tall, and clad in a white shirt and camouflage shorts.
Caculba said a street sweeper noticed a sack containing the body on the street and reported it to authorities. He said the man bore no external injuries save for strangulation marks on the neck.
Police have yet to determine the identities of the victims.
