MANILA, Philippines - A businessman, reportedly a high-stakes gambler, allegedly committed suicide in his car parked in front of a relative’s house in Morning Breeze Subdivision, Caloocan City yesterday.
Bryan Ang, 35, was found with a bullet wound in the head in his Toyota Hi-Ace. Relatives took him to the Manila Central University Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival, police said.
Investigators said they found a 9mm pistol believed to be weapon used to shoot Ang.
Police said the victim had been agitated during the days before he died and may have been bothered by mounting gambling debts. Investigators said they have not ruled out foul play in Ang’s death.
They said they are gathering more testimony from witnesses and awaiting results of tests from the crime laboratory to establish if Ang indeed committed suicide.
