MANILA, Philippines - The Southern Police District (SPD) seized a kilo of cocaine with a street value of P3 million in a drug bust in Makati City yesterday afternoon.
Suspects Bernardo Boco and Vladimir Araño were arrested by the SPD’s anti-drug unit along Alexander and Edison streets in Barangay San Isidro, Senior Police Officer 1 Salvio de Lima said.
The two have been under surveillance for about a month already, De Lima said, adding that the brick of cocaine they seized from the suspects is part of a shipment dumped in the waters off Samar by a passing vessel in 2010.
Boco told The STAR he was only asked by a certain Vic to sell the cocaine, while Araño is the courier.
