Doctor banned from all Rockwell Land buildings

MANILA, Philippines - Property developer Rockwell Land Corp. formally declared yesterday that a live-in guest of a Joya Towers and Lofts resident is banned from all Rockwell Land premises.

A doctor, allegedly a guest staying at his daughter’s apartment within the Rockwell Center, displayed “threatening, abusive and thoroughly uncivilized behavior,” which caused undue alarm among Rockwell residents, guests and Power Plant Mall patrons, the firm said in a statement.

Rockwell Land said the doctor reportedly brandished high-powered firearms in full view of the public, paraded around the mall surrounded by armed “goons” and constantly harassed and bullied residents and guests at the Joya Towers.

The building officials said while they find it unfortunate, “it is our resolute commitment to ensure the protection, safety and security of all Rockwell Center residents, guests, staff and personnel.”

They said they and Rockwell Land coordinated with the Makati City police to serve formal notice that the doctor is “permanently banned” from all buildings owned or operated by the property development firm.
