MANILA, Philippines – National Bureau of Investigation Director Nestor Mantaring said over the weekend that starting Monday, the NBI clearance application and processing office will be transferred from Carriedo in Manila to Caloocan City.
In an advisory released yesterday, Mantaring said the office’s new location will be at the fifth floor of the Victory Central Mall on Rizal Avenue.
The NBI said its satellite clearance offices and renewal kiosks will still continue to serve the public.
The satellite offices are located at the city halls of Caloocan, Quezon City, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Mandaluyong, and Valenzuela; the municipal halls of Rodriguez and Taytay in Rizal and Los Baños in Laguna; Marikina Riverbanks; and at the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) office on Ortigas Avenue.
The NBI renewal kiosks are located at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong, Park Square 1 in Makati City; and the Tutuban Center Mall in Divisoria, Manila.
Mantaring said the Feb. 11, 2004 contract of lease between the NBI and the Carriedo Plaza building chairman and President Wilfredo Keng has not been renewed.
