2 drug suspects nabbed in Navotas, Caloocan

Police arrested two alleged drug pushers, one tagged as a big-time peddler of shabu, in Navotas and Caloocan yesterday.

Senior Police Officer 1 Jerry Bravo, of the Navotas City police Station Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Unit, said Reynaldo Pascual, 52, a resident of Silahis street in Barangay Tanza, is the 10th “most notorious pusher” in the SAIDSOU watch list.

Pascual yielded three sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, and an unlicensed .38 caliber revolver.

The police anti-narcotics agents, led by Bravo and SPO1 Alexander Acusin, conducted a buy-bust operation on Pascual’s house at around 8:40 a.m. PO1 Ricky Lamsin acted as a buyer and was able to purchase two sachets of what is suspected to be shabu from the Pascual for P500 each.

In Caloocan City, Chief Inspector Bartolome Tarante, chief of the Northern Police District anti-narcotics division, led his men in an operation in Bagong Silang, which resulted in the arrest of 44-year-old Joseph Madridano at around 2:30 a.m.

PO2 Ariosto Rana said Madridano’s arrest was the result of a week-long surveillance of the suspect’s alleged illegal activity. The suspect yielded drug paraphernalia.  – Pete Laude
