Investigators said Maureen Pineda was discovered barely alive by her cousin Tuesday around 8 p.m. sprawled in the kitchen with several stab wounds.
Pineda was rushed to Las Piñas Doctors Hospital but she died along the way.
According to an initial investigation, Pineda was alone when the suspect, identified only as a certain "Babes", came to see her late morning Tuesday at her house in Pulanglupa Dos, Las Piñas.
Neighbors of the victim told police that they heard a commotion in Pinedas house and said it was possible that the two were having an argument. It was only later that the woman was found bloodied when Pinedas cousin arrived.
Police Officer 2 Dennis delos Santos said there was no sign of forced entry, which suggested that the victim knew the suspect and the latter was allowed inside the house.
He said they are conducting follow-up investigation to track down the suspect.
