CEBU, Philippines - Two men were killed Tuesday evening in separate shooting incidents by gunmen on motorcycles.
In Consolacion, motorcycle-for-hire driver Rico Dioscoro Jr., married, 32, of barangay Tulo-tulo and member of Guardian Brotherhood died on the spot after being shot dead by an alleged member of the street gang called “Bloods” while waiting for passengers at the terminal in barangay Cansaga.
Police said Dioscoro Jr., was shot in the head. The identity of the killer has not been established yet.
A witness described the assailant as 5’2” tall, has a wavy hair, wore a cap and a black T-shirt.
PO3 Allan Garciano of the Consolacion police station said Dioscoro had just arrived at the terminal on his Honda Wave motorcycle bearing 9180-GP when shot.
Garciano also said the assailant then went to the back of the public market where a getaway motorcycle was waiting.
The witness said Dioscoro was engaged in an altercation with a Bloods gang member a few days before the killing.
In Naga City, a 32-year-old man from barangay South Poblacion was shot dead about a few minutes before 8:00 in the evening.
Glenn Badayos died from a gunshot wound on the chest.
SPO2 Ian Quitayen, chief of the operation unit of the Naga City police station, said Badayos was last seen at a store a few meters where he was shot. - THE FREEMAN
