MANILA, Philippines - In Nora Ephron’s seminal rom-com You’ve Got Mail, Tom Hanks’ character tells Meg Ryan’s as the school season rolls in, “I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.†And because we’re all a bunch of hardcore nerds in these parts, nothing makes our hearts flutter more than the thought of new school supplies. Scouring the hallowed shelves of National Book Store, arguably the mecca of school supplies, we scrounge up some of our favorite pens, notebooks, and paper.
